Registration Info for Continuing Students

Student self-registration for accelerated and/or standard semester classes using Oracle Self Service (OSS) generally begins around week 10 of the preceding semester. The last day to students to self-register for classes in a semester is the Sunday prior to the first day of accelerated classes. After that date, students must seek assistance from the Academic Office (an advisor, program chair or dean) to enter their class selections.   • Fall semester 2005 session "A" accelerated classes begin on Monday, October 24, 2005
  • Standard 16 week fall semester classes begin on Monday, October 31, 2005
  • Fall semester session "B" accelerated classes begin on Monday, January 2, 2006
  • Classes are cancelled Thursday-Friday, November 24-25, 2005 for Thanksgiving break.
  • Classes are cancelled from Monday, December 19, 2005 through Sunday, January 1, 2006 for Winter Break.
  • Classes are cancelled Monday, January 16, 2006 for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
  • Spring 2006 semester session "A" accelerated classes begin on Monday, March 6, 2006
  • Standard 16 week summer semester classes begin on Monday, March 13, 2006.
  • Summer semester session "B" accelerated classes begin on Monday, May 1, 2006
  • Classes are cancelled on Friday, April 14, 2006 for Spring holiday.
  • Classes are cancelled on Monday, May 29, 2006 for the Memorial Day holiday.
  • Summer 2006 semester session "A" accelerated classes begin on Monday, July 10, 2006
  • Standard 16 week summer semester classes begin on Monday, July 17, 2006
  • Summer semester session "B" accelerated classes begin the week of Monday, September 4, 2006

Before registering, please remember to:

  1. Review your curriculum record in Degree Navigator to see what course you should be taking, and for accuracy. Report any Degree Navigator discrepancies in your record to the Registrar's Office.
  2. Clear any holds with the Student Finance office. Student Finance is the only department that can place student holds, so if a hold is noted on your record, it originates in that office.
  3. Seek academic advisement if you have questions about the courses you should take. You may speak with an academic advisor, program chair or dean with your concerns.
